Dr Ian Goldbaum is a Podiatric Physician and Surgeon. As a graduate of the Ohio College of Podiatric Medicine Dr Goldbaum went on to join the practice of Drs. Resnick and Tai in Ypsilanti, Michigan in order to complete his residency/externship in advanced surgery techniques and specific treatments including the study of Bio Mechanics.
Bio Mechanics is the study of movement and can help patients bring their bodies back into proper alignment and alleviate pressure and pain that can be felt anywhere from the vertebrae right down to the feet.
Dr Goldbaum has built a regiment of treatment in order to help alleviate the abnormal forces that cause this often debilitating pain and to help his patients, many who have lived this way for many years, to live normal and productive lives once again.
Dr Goldbaum saw a great need for more advanced and modern techniques in treating patients with Diabetes and other complications of the lower extremities and in 1984 opened his own office in Delray Beach Florida to be able to share his specialized knowledge in South Florida.
Recognizing the rapid increase in Diabetes in this country Dr Goldbaum immediately put together a protocol for his Diabetic patients in order to allow them to be pro-active and in control of this disease which if not controlled can lead to devastating consequences such as amputations and other serious disabilities. Dr Goldbaum uses the Circulator Boot Therapy as part of his treatment and has saved numerous limbs that were actually scheduled for amputation.
Dr Goldbaum is Board Certified APMSB (American Podiatric Medical Specialties Board) in Primary Podiatric Medicine. Board Certified APMSB in Wound Care. Board Certified APMSB in Surgery. Board Certified APMSB in Diabetic Footwear.
Dr Goldbaum is a renowned speaker and has lectured on the use and application of Synthetic Graft Material which is vital in the treatment of slow healing or non healing ulcers. Dr Goldbaum has also lectured around the country on various topics related to the advanced techniques in surgical and non invasive treatments for the lower extremity.
